He is survived by his parents, Debbie and Danny Ray Hester Sr.; his sister, Christi Mack and her husband Chris; his wife and high school sweetheart, Gina; and their three children, Nolan, Aubrey and Carleigh.

He also leaves behind an uncle, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends whose lives were connected to his.

His family remembered him as someone whose presence brought energy and warmth to the people around him. For those who knew him through work, family, friendships or the Louisville community, his absence leaves a significant void.

Funeral Services for Danny Hester

A memorial visitation will be held Friday, September 18, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky.

A Funeral Mass will follow on Saturday, September 19, at 10 a.m. at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Lane in Louisville.

The church will livestream the Funeral Mass through its Facebook page for those unable to attend in person.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked people to consider making a donation to Saint Martha Catholic Church or, in keeping with Danny’s example, giving their own time and talents to someone who needs help.
