Amanda Mack, a former Eastern Kentucky University volleyball player, has died at the age of 20.

Amanda Mack’s EKU Volleyball Career

Mack joined the Eastern Kentucky Colonels for the 2025 season after transferring from the University of Cincinnati.

The 6-foot-1 outside hitter appeared in 29 matches for EKU and made 26 starts during her sophomore season. She played 98 sets, recording 204 kills, 57 digs and 26 blocks. Her season included several strong performances, including a career-high 16 kills against Cincinnati.

EKU’s official athletic records also show Mack contributing to important victories during the 2025 season, including a match against Bellarmine in which she recorded a team-high 12 kills.

From Florida and IMG Academy

Although Mack was a Florida native and later played at Holy Cross, her official EKU biography lists Maryville, Tennessee, as her hometown and identifies IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, as her high school.

She moved from Maryville to Bradenton for her senior year to join IMG Academy’s inaugural volleyball program. Mack was selected for the 2024 Under Armour Next All-America Game and had previously been recognized as an Under Armour Next MVP.

She began her college career at Cincinnati in 2024, appearing in two matches before transferring to Eastern Kentucky.

Transfer to Holy Cross

After spending one season with the Colonels, Mack transferred to the College of the Holy Cross for the 2026 season.

Holy Cross listed her as a junior outside hitter on its 2026 women’s volleyball roster and noted her previous season at Eastern Kentucky, where she had started 26 of 29 matches.
